Refund Policy for Design and Programming Services

All Website design and programming sales are final. In most cases, installation of your website design is started after full payment is received.  This is because we must purchase a domain name and web hosting from 3rd parties on your behalf before we can actually begin installing your website software.

If you prefer, a detailed contract can be signed and returned with payment in full so that both parties are clear of all requirements before proceeding. A contract may be negotiated before signing but must be adhered to once a signed agreement is complete. If you agree to a contract but fail to follow through with a project, we retain the right to bill you for time taken by your project at our regular hourly rate of $50.

Green Web Design may accept a refund request in some cases, at our discretion. If this is the case it will always be if the amount of hours put towards the job is less than the total amount of the deposit paid for the job. If this is the case, any remaining monies left after billing for all hours to date at our standard hourly rate of $50 can be refunded to the client within 14 days and all work will cease.

Refund Policy for SEO & Online Marketing Packages

SEO Services: SEO Services are a 12-month commitment billed monthly. You are expected to stay at the agreed upon price for 12 months. You can cancel SEO Services at any time and we will not bill you for future months. However, you will not be refunded the cost of the present or past months. When you cancel, you become responsible for maintaining any and all of the onsite or offsite optimizations previously done by Green Web Design. If you cancel SEO Services within 48 hours of buying them, you can receive a full refund, including for the first month. After 48 hours, however, you will have to pay for the first month and will only be refunded for the time beyond that first month.

Refund Policy for Domain Names

New Domain Name Registrations: Refundable if canceled and processed within three days of registration (72 hours).

Hosting and Maintenance Contract Cancellation.

As a policy, we do not offer credits or refunds for hosting time already expended.

Cancellation of a hosting or maintenance account requires advance notice. Shared hosting accounts (Personal, Business, Corporate, and E-Commerce) and Maintenance Accounts require 48 hour notice prior to the first (1st) day of the next billing cycle. Dedicated Server hosting accounts require 30 days notice prior to the first (1st) day of the next billing cycle. For all hosting and maintenance accounts the first (1st) day of each billing cycle is the anniversary of the first (1st) day the service was purchased by us on your behalf.

Because web hosting services are provided on a 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month basis, the client will be responsible for service fees already paid regardless of when the client provides notice of termination. Thus, for example, if Client provides notice to terminate prior to the end of the billing cycle, the remaining balance for that month will not be pro-rated or refunded. If Client has prepaid for services six (6) or twelve (12) months in advance, the client agrees that no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the services regardless of when the client cancels the services. Therefore, if the client’s account is cancelled at any point during the pre-paid contract term, Client will not be entitled to a pro-rated refund.

All accounts are cancelled as soon as the client submits the account cancellation request, at which time all remaining files in Client’s account will be deleted. Client is solely responsible to remove all personal files from the server prior to the cancellation request. Green Web Design will not be held responsible for any files deleted by Green Web Design on that day. The cancellation procedure is subject to change without notice.

This only applies to cancellation by the client. If cancellation is initiated by Green Web Design for any violation of our policies, there will be no refund. Green Web Design will only allow for a discount if cancellation is not the fault of the client, as determined by Green Web Design. All monetary transactions are in $US dollars. Additional features can be added at any time. Monthly feature prices are not prorated. Green Web Design reserves the right to change prices at any time.

If we receive a chargeback or payment dispute (i.e. PayPal Dispute) from a credit card company or bank, your service and/or project will be suspended without notice. A $75 chargeback fee (issued to recover fees passed on to us by the credit company), plus any outstanding balances accrued as a result of the chargeback(s) must be paid in full before service is restored, files delivered, or any further work is done. Instead of issuing a chargeback, contact us to address any billing issues.
